Re: [hlds_linux] L4D2 servers delisted?

2012-01-02 Thread Martin Kolb
Got the same issues here, L4D2 servers stay empty.
If I connect directly(which works), immediately people seem to be able
to join. So they can play one game. But they don't get selected in the
"regular" lobby connection process.
I would also say that this happens since the last update.
Is it related to SM? I got Superlogs running as well on these. Need to
test on a vanilla server.

Re: [hlds_linux] How can I set the public IP?

2011-07-28 Thread Martin Kolb
Did you find something to work around that??

I think the IP got filled after a connection to VAC servers has been
established.
status before VAC connection displays the public IP as n/a,
after the connection the public IP is set to this wrong IP.

Re: [hlds_linux] How can I set the public IP?

2011-07-27 Thread Martin Kolb
The first displayed IP 178.63.18.188 would be correct by the way, it's a
public IP address and so far users had no problems to connect to the
servers.

[hlds_linux] How can I set the public IP?

2011-07-27 Thread Martin Kolb
Hi all,

might be a stupid question, but until now that thing worked and I couldn't
find a solution yet.
When I type status in the console of the L4D2 server I get the following:

udp/ip : 178.63.18.188:27018 [ public 178.63.18.136:27018 ]

The public IP is not correct at all and I wonder even where the servers gets
this information from, as I didn't set the ip in any way.
Because of this Steam Group members can't connect (the servers don't get
listed) and lobby matchmaking doesn't fill them.

I tried now around with +ip but with no success. Any ideas on how I can set
the public IP?

[hlds_linux] Replay: Unable to rename file on NFS share

2011-05-12 Thread Martin Kolb
Hi,

I'm running the Game and Webserver on different machines and didn't want to
setup a FTP. So I used a NFS share where the Game server should move the
replays to.
>From there they get read by the webserver. However, srcds seems to be unable
to rename, although the user running srcds can perfectly create files and
rename (mv) them as well.

What could be the reason for this?

Re: [hlds_linux] CSS: how many players on this hardware?

We are also running an EQ4, we couldn't be more satisfied, we might not have
the best ping, but very good reliability (granted you run a Linux system ;)
).

As we run a few other services as well on these machines, we are very
satisfied.

I think it's optional, it's a cvar in the end.

But that's my problem, when players join my server, Dead Center 1 gets
loaded :(

Sorry, just saw that I don't use the parameter anymore.
Anyway it loads always the first Dead Center map.

[hlds_linux] Lobby settings ignored

2010-05-30 Thread Martin Kolb
Hi,

my server always loads the startup map when players are joining, which
means, that any settings defined in the lobby are ignored.I
I think that it probably crashes when someone joins and loads per default
the map it got by parameter at startup. But I couldn't find something
relevant in the logs.
I can't tell if everybody who joins my server experiences the same, I
connect to the server by search key.
Did anyone experience the same?

Currently there is SourceMod 1.8.1 and MetaMod 1.3.2 installed.
