[hlds_linux] Steam Group and Search_Key F's up servers (L4D2)

2009-11-26 Thread Stephan Botha
Hi guys,

I don't know if you guys have experienced this, but I have a problem.

Once I add the Steam Group ID to my server.cfg list or a search_key, my
servers get dropped from the masterlist. Meaning, they stay empty. Nobody
ever connects to the server. I didn't set the steam group exclusive cvar
it's still publically accessible.

Once I reinstall the server to default settings, it doesn't take a full
minute before almost all my servers are filled with players.

Has this happened to anyone else?

I would like to have my servers show up in the Steam Group Server list in
the main menu for our members but also have it available for the general
public.

Also, Not all of the servers show up in the list as well.

Stephan

2009-11-21 Thread Stephan Botha
Thank you for the update on Left 4 Dead 2, but I think you guys need to read
your forums and focus more on the important fixes.

We created a super cool extra long thread with all the
bugs/exploits/glitches listed with videos and screenshots for you guys:

[hlds_linux] L4D: Team swap bug

2009-01-27 Thread Stephan Botha
This happened to me too. I was playing as Infected (I chose infected in the
lobby). We finished the first chapter of Blood Harvest as infected. Then the
survivors finished it. Then when we changed to chapter 2, I got put in the
other team while my friends were still in the original team.

[hlds_linux] SDK / Server Files

2008-11-17 Thread Stephan Botha
Hi guys,

Anyone have a ETA on the SDK and Server Files? It's just a few more hours
before the game is released and I'm sure you all want to get your servers
working.

[hlds_linux] cvars that need sv_cheats

2008-11-13 Thread Stephan Botha
Hi,
How can i use certain cvars (like director_force_pani_event and
director_panic_forever) on my servers without the use of sv_cheats? Like
admin mods are able to use noclip. I would like to make this a "Insainely
Impossible" server with a few cvars, but they all need sv_cheats. What is
the workaround for this?

[hlds_linux] SERVER BROWSER vs LOBBY

2008-11-13 Thread Stephan Botha
Have you guys noticed that when someone connects to the server via the lobby
you cannot record their SteamIDs in HLSW, but if they connect with the
server browser, you can.

Also, once someone has joined the server via the lobby. Ppl can't connect to
the server via the server browser.

My apologies if this has been brought to your attention already
