What about GoldSrc engine? IPv6 will never be available right?

Re: [hlds_linux] hlds_linux Digest, Vol 53, Issue 3

2012-07-02 Thread Tuga aka mabaclu
Sorry to ask this again, but I really need an answer.
I can't update my server, even after trying with the parameter
-verify_all the server seems to keep version 5447.
My server is located in Portugal.

[hlds_linux] Half-Life 1 dedicated server update released

2012-06-30 Thread Tuga aka mabaclu
I can't update my HLDS server, it is always running version 5447. I've
contacted my GSP and they said some Steam servers take more time to
receive the updates than others.
My server is located in Portugal, should I wait for the update to
become available or am I doing something wrong?

He also told me he is selling for 5 euros. But I've never seen it in action.

It is probably a new exploit but ESL is currently down so there's no
way we can contact the creator of it.

Re: [hlds_linux] Still active?

2012-03-06 Thread Tuga aka mabaclu
I don't think there are any issues with the new HLDS version released
today. At least not in my server. But Emanuel Caceres has reported the
following error: -bash: ./hltv: cannot execute binary file

HLTV seems to be working fine. I tested with hltv.org.

[hlds_linux] New GoldSrc exploit

2012-03-05 Thread Tuga aka mabaclu
There is a new exploit able to crash Counter-Strike 1.6 servers (linux and
windows) and probably all other HL1 game servers.
I've been looking for a fix and I found these iptables rules:
This logs the attack:
iptables -I INPUT -p udp -m length --length 222 -j LOG --log-prefix
"Exploit: " --log-ip-options -m limit --limit 1/m --limit-burst 1
This blocks it:
iptables -I INPUT -p udp -m length --length 222 -j DROP

I don't know if those iptables rules work or not because I haven't tested
yet, but I have the exploit and I can test it if needed.
Is there any HLDS update being prepared to fix this?
I'm running HLDS version 5408.

[hlds_linux] Server not showing up in favorites

2011-11-07 Thread Tuga aka mabaclu
I've bought some servers in a Portuguese GSP and they have been working
fine since I bought them.
However, recently, one of the servers is not showing up in Steam's
favourite servers list.
I've already contacted my GSP but they say the server is listed in their
favourites. But me, and admin of my community and a friend of mine are
unable to see the server, though we can connect to it. In their case the
server doesn't appear at the favorites at all (through Steam or in-game),
but in my case when I press "Refresh servers" in Steam's server list the
server appears and disappears right after the refresh is complete. When I
check my favourites in Counter-Strike 1.6 the problem doesnt' occur.
Please help me solving this, I can give you the IP of the server for your
to test via a separate e-mail to avoid advertising.

Thanks in advance.

I'd prefer to have a forum because it would be much easier to organize the
information and I wouldn't need to get my inbox spamed.
