Don't know why and don't understand it, but if I'm ftp-ing a file too or from my server (using proftp) I get mayor lag (even if the file is on hde while the cs server is on hdc). If instead I smbmount a harddisk in a windows box and ftp a file from the mounted "windows hd" through the linux box (using the same amount of bandwith) I don't get any lag at all. (Hope this is clear :) (Bandwith isn't a issue since the server has a t3 connection) BlackEdder ___ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux

First make the .bin file executable with chmod +x hlds_l_3110_full.bin then execute it with /hlds_l_3110_full.bin BlackEdder "A.Friend" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote on 27-6-2002 16:57:27: > >I am venturing into the world of Linux and have mastered the tar.gz >and setup and config of the server [pretty much :)] but cannot figure >out how to extract the hlds_l_3110_full.bin file. > >Any suggestions? >Thanks allot, >Tyeth. > >___ >To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, >please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux ___ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux
Re:[hlds_linux] [AM] [MM] metamod - adminmod
nope running fine for me check your liblist.gam and replace gamedll_linux "dlls/cs_i386.so" with //gamedll_linux "dlls/cs_i386.so" gamedll_linux "dlls/metamod_i386.so" if that isn't the problem then I don't know :) BlackEdder "[EFR]The HEAD" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote on 12-6-2002 21:29:35: > >hi, >anybody also having the problem that metamod and therefore adminmod >are not running? > >c'Ya HEAD > >___ >To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, >please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux ___ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux

A discussion about legalitly issues for cheats by ppl who are no lawyers always does the trick for me :) Especially when they begin comparing US law to other countries BlackEdder "Eric (Deacon)" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote on 6-6-2002 12:03:19: >And while we're on the topic of just about useless rants, let me go on >about how I can't stand it when people come to a stop at a Yield sign, >THEN look, and then decide if maybe it's clear enough to go without >having to negotiate with other vehicles (driven by people with possibly >even more than the half a brain they can claim).
