I ve found really strange bugs during a dods lan.
This bugs are the same on css mod servers.
First:
If the system has a gateway configured, but without having internet.
The srcds server won't stop lagging as i 've never seen that.
The server was launched with this options :
-insecure +sv_lan 1
The configured gateway was used to get my servers on a dedicated vlan.
Players where on a different vlan.
The gateway does not change anything on the same system with an hlds server, a
q3ded server, or another server.
This problem seems to be srcds related only.
If i remove the defined gateway, the servers work like a charm.
If i add a gateway on the system, when the servers are running, only the srcds
servers had troubles, all others servers were still working fluently.
Second:
When launching multiple srcds servers on the same machine, from the same folder,
or from different server folders.
Only one server answers to rcon commands through hlsw.
I ve tested with some php librairies to send rcon commands to servers, i 've got
the same issues.
I launched 3 srcds server one the same machine.
Only the first server answers to rcon commands ( all servers had an
rcon_password specified ).
When sending an rcon command to the only rcon server responding, the changes did
not affect this server, but the last server launched !
All the week-end, we had to make some maps changes through the screen command ,
which was used to launched the srcds servers.
