why bother clearing them at all, they're not exactly big?

I do not believe there is any such thing to prevent that.
Why not just wait a day to clear out the previous day's logs?

Subject: [hlds_linux] CS:Source Logs
Hi,
I noticed that retreiving the css logs and deleting the logs retreived makes
css to got back to 01.log, is there any way to make it continue its work
with the name being the next normal .log file ?
Exemple:
I got this list of .log files in my logs folder:
L012201.log
L012202.log
L012203.log
L012204.log
L012205.log
L012206.log
L012207.log -- this one beeing the one actually used.
If I remove logs from 01.log to 07.log the server will get back to
L012201.log as log file name, this actually leads to data loss when you
generate psychostats..
Any cvar to fix this issue ?
Regards,
Julian
