[hlds_linux] CSS+Metamod: Problem with -verify all gameinfo.txt

2005-08-14 Thread [Old*Boys]Drone
Why don't you just script your updates.

cp gameinfo.txt gameinfo.txt.bak
update
cp gameinfo.txt.bak gameinfo.txt

There can't be that many files, that you want to protect.

gameinfo.txt

I try this but then the updater will crash at this file so no updates
are possible
It would by nice to have a way to exclude such files like the
gameinfo.txt

Maybe you could try changing the permissions of that file and take out
write
 access.

Subject: [hlds_linux] CSS+Metamod: Problem with -verify all gameinfo.txt

 Hi

I run MetaModSource on my server. To do it, the gameinfo.txt had to be
 changed.
But if I run the updatetool with verify all it overwrites the changed
 file and dissabled metamod.

Is there a way to stop this?

 Bye
 Gizmor

Then do not run it with -verify_all.

If it is still overwritten without that, then you may have a worthy issue.
