What I call the boom box model. You take your boom box to the park to
listen to music. The rest of the people at the park get to enjoy the music,
but you don't charge them money for it, because their enjoyment wasn't why
you did it.


If this developer that you spoke to is looking for required donations from
corporate entities, he really should make this clear, in a language that
business people understand (and not developer language, it took me a few
years to figure out the difference).
