rcon_port and rcon_ip are for clients so that you can use rcon to
connect to a server that you're not currently on (like hltv)

I've adminpass.cfg and it contains:
rcon_password
rcon_ip
rcon_port
Doesn't matter which server I'm playing on, I can change map, kick
players a.s.o wihtout joining the server.
If you don't have these values in your config, the settings (ip/port)
are taken from the actual server - you just need to set "rcon_password"
in console.
Hope i helped

Also if your server isn't running on the default port (27015) then you
need to specify rcon_port as well.

I.e. if your server is on port 27025 you do:

Rcon_password "banana"
Rcon_port "27025"
Rcon bot_add_ct

In your server.cfg you set a rcon password with 'rcon_password
"urpassword"'

Then connect to your server, type in the console: rcon_password
"urpassword"

Then you can use with rcon every command which is directly avaible from
the server console.

There is no rcon_port in HLDS, only SRCDS. HLDS only opens a single UDP
port. SRCDS opens 3 UDP ports and a TCP port. The TCP port is for RCON.

I read in the documentation how to set RCON passwords and such for the
servers, but when I'm in the console during gameplay, I enter the
password but cannot command jack. I can only control stuff remotely via
AMX, but I want to use the rcon stuff valve released with the server
software. You know, be able to restart the server edit my ban list and
such how can this be done? How do I add admins that the HLDS
software will recognize and let do any of this stuff? and where do I
find the proper comamnds...or do I add "rcon_" for everything?
Valve keeps stating how to set the rcon_password but never specifies
how to admin, or what commands are available.
