For real, I get loads of cheater these days on my server. I disabled Vac
for now because its useless. I just make sure I keep a presence on my
server so hackers dont show up. Sadly though hacker are the only challenge
for my skills these days, so I dont always kick them right away.

ROFL. I know exactly what you mean :)

It's funnier watching someone use hacks and still end up with a well
below average score (before kicking them) :)

I agree.. VAC really screwed the pooch when they tried to keep
anticheat in house. It sucked in 1.5 and it's out of control on 1.6.

They have a new module in beta at the moment, with new detections, so
just be patient for a couple more days :)

RE: [hlds_linux] VAC Update is overdue

2003-11-02 Thread Scott Pettit
I hope it's soon :/, I'm suffering from a cheating plague and have an insane
amount of demo's to review daily...

Despite people saying go to Cheating-Death or HL-Guard, they just aren't
usable, Cheating-Death is great but most clients don't know enough to
download and run the client, and HL-Guard puts the CPU to hell.

Need VAC updates more often, please :-)

Cheers,

Scott
