[hlds_linux] diff directories?

2010-03-27 Thread tom nikitopoulos
i had a question.
Do most of you build systems with different server files in different
directories?
There is alot of theories on the web. I have a file named hlds and within
this file i have used the tag -dir . to download the files for l4d and l4d2
and so on.
I could of swore that one page i looked at said to download the server files
in different dirs.

Also, is there a chance that u can make a hard copy of the files and use
them to rebuild the servers in case of a hd crash or a os upgrade?
While the hlds download is very good-it can be time consuming.

Using -dir. it should separate the directories.

The only problem I can think of is if you'd like to run an orangebox mod
alongside a tf2/dods install. They use different orangeboxes and so would
conflict ( crash).
