I have set ports 27000 thru 27200 udp and 27015 tcp on my router. I do not believe rcon works so easy. Either it is communicating on a other port or something is amiss . Sorry, ics is right. I didn't stop to think to think he meant that rcon_enabled didn't exist, because the way he phrased it it seemed like he was having a different issue of not knowing about adding entries to the server cfg. By the time I realized my reply itself was erroneous, I wasn't near the computer. Seem to be having an off-day today. Never heard of such cvar rcon_enabled. Even my server consoles do not recognize it. For Tom, all i do is just set rcon_password "passwordhere" on my servers and rcon has worked like a charm. It doesn't start out in your config, you need to add it. And, yes, it holds true for all source games, to the best of my knowledge. Hello all, Is there a server variable that has to be enabled for players to access rcon thru console? I cannot connect either thru rcon or mani to my css server.
