Re: [hlds_linux] Can't open libhlwon.so?
I hate bsd, but its been proven to me over the last few years, that as a webserver. It is far and away more stable and can take a heavier load than linux. I have never tried for gameservers, and I have no intention of it lol - Original Message - From: "[Mage]-BadPing-" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, October 14, 2003 10:58 PM Subject: RE: [hlds_linux] Can't open libhlwon.so? > > > > That's why you don't use the "Redhat Operating System" option. ;) > > > > Patrick Volkerding (author of Slackware) will sometimes answer your emails > personally. I think that just kicks ass ;) A distro is a distro though. Your choice is mostly a matter of personal style, and does not necessarily reflect your level of 1337ness. If you prefer to use emerge instead of installpkg or RPM, well hey, at least with Linux, you have a choices. The urge to trash BSD is strong, however. According to the great words of Simon Garner: > But who the heck uses a default install? You can customise exactly > what packages you want. Given that you have the source for everything, with sufficient customization, you can make any Linux distro be exactly like any other Linux distro. The only difference between them is what each distro does by default. -Mad -- "A proof is a proof. What kind of a proof? It's a proof. A proof is a proof.
