Re: [hlds_linux] Day of Defeat: Source CPU Usage :o
Running a dual 244 with 2gb of RAM totally empty box except for this DoD:S server and its using anywhere from 30-50% cpu. Its just an 18 Player server. OS: CentOS 4.0 64bit uname -a output: Linux tehbox 2.6.9-5.0.5.ELsmp #1 SMP Tue Apr 19 17:06:07 CDT 2005 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux This is nearly identical to the usage we've seen in the past with CS:S, par for the course. Clearly these xbox optimizations did little or nothing to effect the server's cpu usage. We're finding that with an average of 3x 24man servers which have been filled continuously, and also by playing all 4 maps, the average CPU usage seems to be around 40-45%, that based around a EM64T Xeon running SuSE Linux. - Original Message - From: "Gary" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: ; Sent: Tuesday, September 27, 2005 12:40 AM Subject: Re: [hlds_linux] Day of Defeat: Source CPU Usage :o [EMAIL PROTECTED]/games/dods>ps aux|egrep dod gary 21729 72.3 6.0 197288 126320 p6 S+6:11PM 18:19.32 ./srcds_i686 -game dod -console +maxplayers 32 +exec server.cfg + [EMAIL PROTECTED]/games/dods>cat /var/run/dmesg.boot|egrep CPU CPU: Intel(R) Xeon(TM) CPU 3.00GHz (3000.12-MHz 686-class CPU) Thats running on fbsd 6.0 with some of my kernel modifications.
