RE: [hlds_linux] live stats

2002-08-18 Thread m0gely

Sorry I have to say that fricken plug has hosed more browsers I have
used it on than not, in fact it really messes with stuff. It been a
little while so maybe it's better now. But man, plugs should not do the
stuff to browsers that that one did! I wish I could remember specifics,
but it been too long.

  Hi folks

Can anyone recommend a little prog I can put on my website I'm
building
 that
shows live stats of a server it's linked to? Jolt has a decent
setup,
 and
whilst no doubt it is something of their own creation, something
like
 this
would be ideal, however I doubt I'll find anything like this. The
link
 to
their server page is at the bottom of this email for your perusal.

Take a peek at these:

http://tf.bs-linux.com/stats_sorted.php

http://tf.bs-linux.com/hlq.php

First one only works if halfd is installed, other one works for none
halfd servers. Both scripts I wrote.

No autorefresher but I could easily incorporate one if that is what you

javascript.

No need for Javascript :)
Just add this to the head of the page

meta http-equiv=Refresh content=120;URL=thewebpage.html

120 = updated every 2 minutes

Well I was aware of that but do all browsers now recognize that? In the
past they didn't. Guess I haven't been keeping up. :(

Well not ALL webbrowsers support it, but certainly more then the ones
that support Javascript.

And eg Lynx people are SOL and will have to refresh manually anyway,
since nieghter JS or meta refresh works in it.
