This isn't server-related, but
Cow Mangler 5000 can be reflected, Righteous Bison can't be reflected (and
this is noted in the item description for it).

I can vouch for the crashes also. (Windows and Linux)

I was just playing on a server and it crashed. I think i may have caused it.
Can anyone else try to repeat it?

I was playing as pyro with the "degreaser" and a soldier was firing at me
from across the map with "The Righteous Bison".
I attempted to reflect the shot back at him.
None seemed to have reflected and i'm not to bad.

He killed me and i started to spawn. just as i spawn the server crashed.

Also i thought earlier i had reflected 1, but i'm unsure due to all the
lazier glare in my screen. (those should be made narrower, and maybe brighten
it some since it would be smaller in diameter. IMO..)

Re: [hlds_linux] TF2 Servers are still crashing after July 22nd Update

2011-07-24 Thread ics
It's not replay related. I haven't had replays on and 2 of the 4 servers
are crashing more frequently than the others but they all do crash time
to time.

I'll enable replays as soon as Valve makes it so that the replay doesn't
take extra slot from the server like it does now. If it does, it should
be visible always, not on the server and showing 0/24 players instead of
1/25. I guess they picked up that method so that the 24 "recommended"
player limit doesn't go to 25 and confuse players. Still, the replay
shouldnt't take a slot like that as it does now.

I disabled replays on all my TF2 servers yesterday afternoon, and they
have yet to crash or freeze since. Therefore, I'm assuming it's a
replay-related crash.

That doesn't rule out the new weapons being the ultimate cause, though.

We have had replays disabled almost since they were introduced, as they
seemed to cause crashes.

Today we have also disabled the new weapons, and we've been crash free
again since.

A weird crash this time. Someone joined the server and saw a teleporter

the missing name was a client side issue, but the fact that the server

Re: [hlds_linux] TF2 Servers are still crashing after July 22nd Update

2011-07-23 Thread Mart-Jan Reeuwijk
Noticed the crash as well with normal shot of the new weap at a spy (no medic
or charged shot) no idea if the spy had normal or DR watch, and server crashed
upon impact of the weap, never saw a kill-icon. 2fort, backyard, in small
hallways to 2nd spawn drop, spy was going around the corner to avoid the shot a
bit too late, but not a straight shot on him, the blast radius of it hit him I
guess.

Servers are still crashing like crazy.

Here is the last message in console on crash:
L 07/22/2011 - 22:19:09: World triggered "Game_Over" reason "Reached Time
Limit"
L 07/22/2011 - 22:19:09: Team "Red" final score "0" with "7" players
L 07/22/2011 - 22:19:09: Team "Blue" final score "0" with "7" players

Re: [hlds_linux] TF2 Servers are still crashing after July 22nd Update

2011-07-23 Thread ics
Since last night i have restarted servers 3 times. So i guess i have to keep
closer eye at the servers over weekend as the update did not fix the crashes,
only one possible cause.

Re: [hlds_linux] TF2 Servers are still crashing after July 22nd Update

2011-07-22 Thread bottige...@gmail.com
I just got this crash in my logs.

Entity 23 (class 'player') reported ENTITY_CHANGE_NONE but
'"player_object_array"' changed.
srcds_linux: malloc.c:4631: _int_malloc: Assertion `(unsigned
long)(size) >= (unsigned long)(nb)' failed.
