Re: [homenet] Fwd: I-D Action: draft-ietf-homenet-front-end-naming-delegation-16.txt

2022-06-15 Thread Daniel Migault
Hi Erik,

As far as I know, we have addressed all comments received during the WGLC
for both drafts.

In addition to what has been sent to the mailing list a brief overview of
the changes can see the updates for the dhcp draft there:
https://github.com/ietf-homenet-wg/front-end-naming-delegation-dhc-options/commits/master/draft-ietf-homenet-naming-architecture-dhc-options.md

and for the hna draft the updates can be seen there:
https://github.com/ietf-homenet-wg/ietf-homenet-hna/commits/master/draft-ietf-homenet-front-end-naming-delegation.mkd

Yours,
Daniel

2022-06-15 Thread Eric Vyncke (evyncke)
Daniel, and other authors,

Does this version address all comments received during the 2021 WG last call
[1] ?

There is also a new version of the DHCP part, does this version also address
all comments received during the 2021 WG last call ?

Thank you very much for the work done, I know that the last mile can be very
painful...

Regards

-éric

Hi,

Please find an update of the draft that describes the Provisioning of Public
Names for Residential Networks. We essentially, clarify the document and move
to the appendices the informative sections. We would like to thank Kiran for
all her comments that have led to the current version. We believe this version
addresses the comment regarding the readability of the document.

Yours,
Daniel

A New Internet-Draft is available from the on-line Internet-Drafts directories.
This draft is a work item of the Home Networking WG of the IETF.

Title : Simple Provisioning of Public Names for Residential
Networks
Authors : Daniel Migault
  Ralf Weber
  Michael Richardson
  Ray Hunter
Filename: draft-ietf-homenet-front-end-naming-delegation-16.txt
Pages : 38
Date: 2022-06-13

Abstract:
Home network owners often have devices that they wish to access
outside their home network - i.e., from the Internet using their
names. To do so, these names needs to be made publicly available in
   the DNS.

This document describes how a Homenet Naming Authority (HNA) can
instruct a DNS Outsourcing Infrastructure (DOI) to publish a Public
   Homenet Zone on its behalf.

The IETF datatracker status page for this draft is:
https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-homenet-front-end-naming-delegation/

There is also an htmlized version available at:
https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/draft-ietf-homenet-front-end-naming-delegation-16

A diff from the previous version is available at:
https://www.ietf.org/rfcdiff?url2=draft-ietf-homenet-front-end-naming-delegation-16

Internet-Drafts are also available by rsync at rsync.ietf.org::internet-drafts
