[Hornlist] Leroy Anderson
Leroy Anderson did with musical notes what Norman Rockwell did with paints on canvas. Not that there is anything wrong with that. -- Alan Cole, rank amateur McLean (Fairfax County), Virginia, USA. -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. RE: [Hornlist] worst piece of music!
I also agree that it sucks. I like the beginning of A Christmas Festival though. But overall they are no good. -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Bill Gross Sent: Sunday, December 11, 2005 3:45 PM To: 'The Horn List' Subject: RE: [Hornlist] worst piece of music! RE: [Hornlist] worst piece of music!
Indeed. While I find A Christmas Festival somewhat tolerable. Our concert tonight ends with Sleigh Ride. For better or for worse, I sit next to the 1st Alto Saxogroan, so I can play that part if I feel like it. [Hornlist] Revised Horn Concerto
Hello Listers For those who are interested, I've posted new mp3 files of my horn concerto. These reflect some revisions in the orchstration, and a complete re-recording of the demo using Garritan Personal Orchestra. The mp3 files are also now only the first 1min 20sec of each movement. Go to http://www.music.systemsolve.net/compositions.wtml to have a look. There are now also Ogg Vorbis files of the whole movements accessible from my "Front Page". These are between 6 and 4 MBytes in size. I hope you like the music!
