Just three evening performances left tonight, Monday & Tuesday, four rehearsals for Parsifal & three extra paid performances (2 ballets on April 2nd & 4rth) & my Farewell with Parsifal. Also be the first opera I have ever played some 48 years ago replacing my father who had broken a front teeth by accident, so I did the dress rehearsal full at 9:00 & the full 5 hour spectacle (concertante) at 06:00 PM, all on single F pumpenhorn. Quite a day for a 17years old. I defintely retire with March 31st 2007.
