... when I need music to completely relax and destress me I often turn to
renaissance sacred choral music, and even to Russian Liturgical music.
I have among others, "Sacred Treasures", the easy-listening version of
Russian Liturgical music. It has 17 tracks - I'm usually unconscious by
track 4. It's a terrific soporific.
By the way, you can get the sheet music for lots of this genre -
composer names such as Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff appear frequently,
among many others. The source is Musica Russica at

I mention this because all of these pieces are 4-part harmonies and they
sit perfectly for horn quartet. The booklets are generally 4-6 pages
long and inexpensive, though to get right with the diety, you should buy
4 of each. They make slow, lush, reverberating quartets - perfect for
learning to play in tune, transpose (optional), relax, and sing out your
soul with your comrades. Not bad for about $2 @.
