But you knew that by yourself, I am sure. If we get older, we oversee the most simple things more often than we did when younger, right ! Hi Hans, Thanks for your reply. It isn't a period orchestra, but a small chamber orchestra. When we play works from the classical period we always use natural horns. The next concert is Beethoven, Mendelssohn and the Brahms. We've eventually settled on natural horns for the Beethoven and Mendelssohn and valves for the Brahms. Why not taking two horns for a special program ? We had to take double, descant tuba to the studio often. Hi Ben, If you a referring to the Concerto in A Major for Horn and Orchestra (Opus 28), Breitkoph published an edition for Horn and Piano in 1928. I don't know if it's still in print. Or ... are you referring to the Sonata in B minor (Opus 27) that has a part for (horn or viola) with violin, cello piano? I don't know who publishes that one. Kurt Magnus Atterbergs Sonata op.27 from 1925 is NOT a horn sonata but a Sonata for a stringed instrument (cello, viola, violin).
