RE: [Hornlist] Bag for extra bell/flare?

2008-08-07 Thread Loren
Our price for the 2 horn-bell MB case shipped to any US address is
$239 for the nylon version and $304 for the leather. I would also note that
if you already have an MB6 or MB7 case, then you can carry two bell flares
in those cases (I've carried my two bells this way for several years with no
damage).

I use the Marcus Bonna bell case that holds up to 2 flares. It's light and
offers good protection. You can see it at

Contact any of the US dealers for price and availability.

I carry two bells (medium and large)together (the medium fits in the
large) with protection betwixt them in my MB7 case.

A snare drum case works well, with a little padding (towel or whatever).

No, but you could buy some leatherette or such and have a local
seamstress or upholsterer make you something pretty easily. My wife
sews a lot and can make all sorts of bags and protectors with her
trusty Bernina. Sketch out your ideas for what you want and try a
good seamstress.

I'm thinking that perhaps a reupholsterer could make a bag or a custom
gig bag.
