Let me congratulate Prof. Hans Pizka to his 65 years on earth.

Hans, I think you reversed your meaning accidentally. I have a Never-
lasting embouchure, but Herr Pizka has the Ever-lasting embouchure.
Mine has all but departed from me. And I suspect I have lots of
companions.

RE: [Hornlist] Happy Birthday Hans Pizka

2007-03-17 Thread hans
Just three evening performances left tonight, Monday
Tuesday, four rehearsals for Parsifal three extra paid
performances (2 ballets on April 2nd 4rth) my Farewell
with Parsifal. Also be the first opera I have ever played
some 48 years ago replacing my father who had broken a front
teeth by accident, so I did the dress rehearsal full at 9:00
the full 5 hour spectacle (concertante) at 06:00 PM, all
on single F pumpenhorn. Quite a day for a 17years old.

I defintely retire with March 31st 2007.

Kindest greetings

Hans

Sorry for this, you are right Paul.
It was written in a hurry this morning.
During the day I recapitulated it for me and thought of this fault.
Yes it must be Ever-lasting or Never-ending embouchure.
Thank you Paul.

Here's hoping you have many more Birthdays Hans. Today my oldest
brother's
birthday. He can now officially draw his social security.

Thanks for all of the great information you've given us. I respect that
you
so willing share with us your knowledge of horn playing. I think many of
us
would love to be able to be blessed enough to play with a major orchestra.

I would also like to wish Prof Pizka a wonderful happy birthday. I
rarely contribute to this list as I am an aspiring armature but I always
listen and have always found Prof Pizka's advice helpful, challenging and
honest. He truly is committed to helping horn players improve. I would love
the opportunity to meet him one day.
