Hans, I think you reversed your meaning accidentally. I have a Never- lasting embouchure, but Herr Pizka has the Ever-lasting embouchure. Mine has all but departed from me. And I suspect I have lots of companions. Paul Mansur On Mar 17, 2007, at 4:44 AM, [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Dear friends of the Horn! Let me congratulate Prof. Hans Pizka to his 65 years on earth. RE: [Hornlist] Happy Birthday Hans Pizka
Just three evening performances left tonight, Monday Tuesday, four rehearsals for Parsifal three extra paid performances (2 ballets on April 2nd 4rth) my Farewell with Parsifal. Also be the first opera I have ever played some 48 years ago replacing my father who had broken a front teeth by accident, so I did the dress rehearsal full at 9:00 the full 5 hour spectacle (concertante) at 06:00 PM, all on single F pumpenhorn. Quite a day for a 17years old. I defintely retire with March 31st 2007. Yes it must be Ever-lasting or Never-ending embouchure. Thank you Paul. Re: [Hornlist] Happy Birthday, Hans
I would also like to wish Prof Pizka a wonderful happy birthday. I rarely contribute to this list as I am an aspiring armature but I always listen and have always found Prof Pizka's advice helpful, challenging and honest. He truly is committed to helping horn players improve. I would love the opportunity to meet him one day. ___ post: [EMAIL PROTECTED] set your options at http://music.memphis.edu/mailman/options/horn/archive%40jab.org
