Re: [Hornlist] bell manufacturers

2008-10-13 Thread Jerryold99
Hi Luke,

I'm not surprised. Paxman cut down the old "XL"
mandrel to make a smaller bell so, those of us who
have horns with the "XL" bell need to take really good
care of them . they can't be replaced. Maybe they
did the same with the old "L" bell mandrel??

I wanted to clarify my request. I am familiar with several manufacturers of
bell flares. I need the entire bell which includes the bell tail up to the
first branch. I have three patches on my current bell tail and would like
to replace the entire bell, not just the bell flare. So far, I have Bernd
Sandner and Ewald Meinl. Any others out there?

Hi,

Paxman should have several bell options
for your horn. I guess you're looking for
other options?

I am considering installing a new bell and bell tail on my 1980 Paxman model
20L. I know of one bell maker that can make a bell to ones specifications:
Bernd Sandner http://www.schallstueck.de/english/index.htm

Does anyone know anyone else that provides this service?
