Re: [Hornlist] hand guards and other accessories
I have to agree as to the quality of the people. When I first encountered them several years ago after seeing an ad in I believe the ITG Journal, they were the most considerate, conversational and informative folks. We had a several minute general conversation, and all I had expected was for them to get my info to mail me a catalog. When I got the catalog I was immediately impressed by the care they obviously take to make a quality, musician informed product. From someone who has always made my own handguards, [you should see the fake sheepskin one, its really comfortable!!] I would not hesitate to get one of theirs in a NY minute. paxmaha [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Thank you for the plug. They are making some changes that the customer will not notice in the product per se, but will make it far easier for dealers to sell and order, making the hand guards, mouthpiece pouches, etc. made by Leather Specialties far more accessible to the consumer, in my opinion. Hi listers - for everyone who is looking for handguards and other items, check leatherspecialtiesco.com, they are the ones who supply Osmun, BrassArts, Music123, WW&BW, BrookMays and probably most other retail outlets. They are founded and operated by a trumpeter with the Atlanta Symphony, and they have a fantastic reputation. their guards prevent the sweat/acid problem by inserting a moisture barrier between the layer that touches the horn and the layer that you touch. check them out!!
