RE: [Hornlist] Peter and the Wolf

2008-06-11 Thread Richard

Are you sure, I thought the correct answer is "42."

---

The answer is 42, but what is the question?

(Destroying the suspense, 3 volumes later: "what do you get when you multiply 6
times 9?" - it's all wrong!)

source: "The increasingly inaccurately named Hitchhiker's Trilogy", 5 volumes
plus a bonus story.

Not omly does "Peter and the Wolf" have three horn parts, they are
prominant. The narrator announces the three as representing the Wolf. So
there are some important passanges for all three in three part harmony (In D
minor, I believe). Also the second horn part has a couple of very low bass
register notes (Low A and low G#, bottom space and bottom line in modern
style bass clef). All in all an enjoyable piece to play. Those who get a
chance to play one of the parts are in for a good time, and lots of
recognition. Regards.

But of course, that is the answer to life, the universe, and everything!
