[HOT] Exports service down for Central African Republic job
Hi, The GIS Officer working for OCHA in Bangui, CAR, told me the shapefiles from this job http://export.hotosm.org/fr/jobs/6352 covering the whole country do not work. I tested it my self and when opened in QGIS, the geometries do not show up and the attributes tables are empty. Can a HOT exports admin person try to fix this? I also notice the Garmin maps files are 0 Kb. Tested the SQLite File, it works. Sincerely, Severin ___ HOT mailing list HOT@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/hot

Pierre, I've grabbed the Lesotho file from there and plan on trying it out once I get a few more things sorted. Thank you for that Mark, Apologies I haven't gotten back to you. Thank you for your assistance, it very much appreciated. You mentioned about needing images as GeoTiff EPSG:4326 but when I looked at some suitable maps on the Texas Libraries site I can not see anything but JPEG's but you mentioned using the Tactical Pilotage maps from that site so I'm wondering if I have missed something with regards getting the images in that fornat. There are 6 sheets from the index map [1] that I am looking to crop and rectify, namely SH-35 3 SH-35 4 SH-35 7 SH-35 8 SH-35 11 SH-35 12 They are all located at [2] If you could steer me in the right direction I can sort out the rectification and cropping of those sheets. These maps were downloaded from University of Texas Library so they should e in the Public Domain and Ok to Trace If of value, I will make he layer available as a wms layer for you to use. It wil take me a couple of days In the mean time, if you dig any other maps up and can trim georeference them for me, I will make them available as well, I will give you an ftp account where you can upload them. We need them as a GeoTiff EPSG:4326 preferred, with internal overviews, but NOT JPEG Compression (other compression is ok) BTW, the first time you access these, it will take some time for the tile cache to build, but after that, they should render reasonably quickly Please let me know regards Mark Regards Mark Cupitt If we change the world, let it bear the mark of our intelligence See me on LinkedIn http://ph.linkedin.com/in/markcupitt *See me on StackExchange http://gis.stackexchange.com/users/17846/mark-c*
