Hi Dražen, I know that the Training WG and the Community WG were both discussing things that involved the tasking manager. Should we make an effort to review the issues and enhancements in tasking manager github site that exist now and add in enhancement requests if we have some that are not submitted properly yet? Hi All, Just a reminder if you have possible project ideas for a three month intern to either send them to me or add them directly to the wiki. https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Humanitarian_OSM_Team/OPM_Project_Ideas Thanks, -Kate On Wed, Sep 17, 2014 at 11:28 AM, Kate Chapman kate.chap...@hotosm.org wrote: Hi All, HOT and Mapzen are going to work together to support an intern in the Outreach Program for Women(1). This is through the generous financial support of Mapzen. Right now we are putting a wikipage together of possible projects(2). Then interested individuals will be able to make a proposal and apply to the program. It is a full-time internship with a stipend of $5500 taking place from the 9th of December until the 9th of March. Unlike Google Summer of Code which the program is based on the projects don't have to specifically be coding, though they certainly could be. Please if you are interested in helping mentor or have project ideas please add them to the wiki. Some background on the program from the OPM website: The Outreach Program for Women (OPW) was inspired by Google's Summer of Code and by how few women applied for it. The GNOME Foundation first started the OPW with one round in 2006, and then resumed the effort in 2010 with rounds organized twice a year. In the May-August 2012 round, the Software Freedom Conservancy joined the OPW with one internship with the Twisted project. In the January-April 2013 round, many other free and open source organizations joined the program. This program is a welcoming link that connects talented and passionate newcomers with people working in free and open source software and guides them through their first contribution. Through OPW, participants learn how exciting and valuable work on software freedom can be, while helping us to build a more inclusive community.
