Re: [HOT] Installing tasking manager in AWS
Hi Maning, I have done this and I think it works fine on a micro for a few number of people. You can try the now slightly out of date TM2 ami I have here: Debain7.6.aws.2 with OSM HOT Tasking Manager 2.7 - ami-66a9280e This is a Debian Wheezy image with OSM HOT TM 2.7 Root device type: ebs Virtualization type: paravirtual Owner: 783102472170 I'll be interested to see how it works out for you. You should be able to launch it with the directions on the main TM2 Readme in github. cheers, Blake On 4/17/2015 10:14 AM, maning sambale wrote: Hi, I'm planning to install tasking manager to coordinate some local mapping that is not entirely HOT-related. Some basic Q's: 1. Would a small/micro AWS ec2 be enough for use of say a few people at a time probably? Less than 20 simultaneously. 2. If someone have tried this already, can you share the AMI, so that I can just fire it up. Advance thanks! ___ HOT mailing list HOT@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/hot
Re: [HOT] Slum mapping project need help to imagery stitching
Hola Humberto, Very nice work taking these drone images. I made an orthomosaic from the 89 photos in your Original photos folder, processed with Pix4Dmapper by Pix4D, and georeferenced it with QGIS and GDAL based on Bing imagery (from which current OSM data was traced). It is available as TMS at this URL (for JOSM, in jpeg): tms[23]:http://imagery.openstreetmap.fr/tms/1.0.0/isladeleon/{zoom}/{x}/{y} (There is also a png version, which allows transparency on the borders, but has heavier tiles: tms[23]:http://imagery.openstreetmap.fr/tms/1.0.0/isladeleon_png/{zoom}/{x}/{y} ) Best wishes, Jean-Guilhem (The old team running HOT US Inc. did not support these efforts, led by Fred, initially for OSM Haïti community. Re: [HOT] Slum mapping project need help to imagery stitching
This whole process is another example of why I love HOT: Community members learning about mapping and working with or forming local mapping groups to address local needs. Trying new things and learning new technology, sharing and learning locally. Reaching out to the larger community for collaboration. Experts from all over sharing their knowledge, skills and time. An organization helping with resources where it can. Congratulations to everyone involved! Our community is really inspiring and I am so happy to be a part of it. cheers, Blake On 4/18/2015 1:09 PM, Jean-Guilhem Cailton wrote: Hola Humberto, Very nice work taking these drone images. Re: [HOT] Slum mapping project need help to imagery stitching
Beautiful image! Thanks a lot Jean! We are ready for mapping party! :-D (Then measure irregular construction dynamics between 2012 - 2015). Fred, a track can be found here: https://www.openstreetmap.org/user/Humberto_Yances/traces/1914894 JOSM show more tracks in the area; plus we are waiting for a ballon mapping kit, so ASAP I'll send you tracks as described. Yes, for pilot project we want to compare between drone - ballon aerial pictures. Best, Humberto 2015-04-18 10:10 GMT-05:00 Fred Moine frmo...@gmail.com: Thank you very much Jean, it's a great result. Humberto is it possible to upload some GPS tracks along the road (in the middle if you can : ) . and to make a cross on some intersection (back and forth with the gps on a crossroad ). It will good to check the geo referencing. Jean has done this analysis with the OSM Haiti Mini server ( we are using it in the field). [HOT] image server
There seems to be a problem with the image server. It serves images to JOSM at the current zoom level. The user can zoom in or out, but only to a limited extent. -- Dan ___ HOT mailing list HOT@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/hot
Re: [HOT] Canaan drone imagery not loading
Thanks for this information, We are looking on it ( check the log) We are using OpenStreetMap Server so far ( the same we used for the haiyan action, several satellite imagery and a lot of OSM mapper). Until now we didn't face any problem with this server. So we will work on it All the best FredM ___ HOT mailing list HOT@openstreetmap.org https://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/hot
Re: [HOT] Canaan drone imagery not loading
In the same time we are looking to the server, Could the leader of the mapping party and the coordinator of this task http://tasks.hotosm.org/project/870 can make a control quality of the data before sending it on the server. And contact directly some OSM contributors. Since the beginning of this Hot task, a lot of mistake has been made, Duplication of building http://osm.org/go/YeTIXLdXI-- Overlap of road ( sometime 4 roads has been digitized) http://osm.org/go/YeTC7fbA-- And so one. OSM Haiti has started to clean some data and contact some mappers. But the best if you are making some mapping party is to check the quality of the data before sending in it. Apparently a lot of NGO will come in this area in a near future, so if we can paid attention of the quality of data as is part of an activation. And again if somebody can help OSM Haiti to get the latest imagery over this area ( as since 2014 the area has change a lot). it will be better to start with the latest imagery.
