Re: [HOT] [hotosm-membership] News from Jorieke!

2017-06-02 Thread slayer@GeoThings
Thank you so much Jorieke, and all the best for your new journey!

Thanks to the community, it's really lovely and a pleasure to be part of HOT,
as a member, as a voting member, or even now as the board. I will mimic the
idea from Heather, to allocate and fix at least two hours a week for community.
Maybe every Tuesday or Thursday 22:00 'til midnight (GMT+8). It should be
easier for you to reach an Asia-based person like me on any community related
topics.

Again, really appreciated of the opportunity for my contribution. We are
Humanitarian OSM Team, and I am happening to work with a team that aim to
Humanitarian ICT. Let's together rock the world for humanity with this awesome
HOT community!

Yoda: do or do not, there is no try.
So I will certainly, and more than happy do my best for humanity :-)

Have a good day!
slayer

Dear HOT community,

It’s with lots of pleasure I’m sharing with you that I started to work two days
ago as Missing Maps coordinator for MSF! The first two days, and the excellent
pre-start I had with the MSF scientific days
 are
promising… Isn’t this one of the most awesome jobs in the world?! J

However it has one downside, I had to resign from the HOT board due to the
conflict of interest the new job brings. The HOT membership is soon going to
vote for a new board member to fill in my spot.

With this I’m closing an intense two year period as board member for HOT.
Experiences and learnings for life I’d say! Thanks for all your support in
those not always easy two years. I strongly believe we have an excellent new
board team this year, ready to build, discuss and improve HOT as from where it
stands today!

And… in an attempt to fulfill my last board duties, I hereby share with you the
last meeting minutes I took. I leave the task of secretary with pleasure to
Melanie! https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B65TOMtm9My4U3d4WXFjdVVIS1U/view

As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me, on whatever you feel like,
HOT, MSF, Missing Maps, or just to have a tea together somewhere in London! J

All my best greetings,

Jorieke
