Re: [HOT] HOT Tech announcement | November 4th

@Arnalie,

Great suggestion. This time was legacy from the previous iterations, so
we'll discuss in our team and send out a more globally accessible time
before the next TWG.

Hya our new scrum master and agile coach is proximate to Manila as well, so
I'm sure she'd appreciate the opportunity to join at a more opportune time
and also to connect with you and the rest of the local community :).

Kindness,

Bo

So happy for the new development of the Tech Team!
Welcome to Hycinth, Lily and Diana! :)
Would the Tech WG 2.0 be open to have a schedule that will also work from the
different side of the globe, ie  Asia and the Pacific (in most Southeast Asia
countries, the current timeslot is 12AM onwards)? Just opening up this
conversation in case anyone would like to join the group that is based in these
regions. :)

Hello Humanitarian OpenStreetMappers,

Get updated with the latest news from the HOT Tech Team.

Tasking Manager 4.2.0 released

We released a new version of Tasking Manager. The main highlight is the
enhancement on how the integrated iD is initialized, in order to make it more
reliable and avoid data errors. The iD editor version is now upgraded to
2.19.4. We have also made some improvements to the project management section.
Check out the complete release notes.

Hycinth, Lily and Diana join the Tech Team

We have three new members on our team:

   -
Hycinth Umaran is joining us as Scrum Master and Agile Coach and is based in
Manilla, Philippines;

   -
Lily Cheng is our new Senior Designer and is based in Los Angeles, USA;

   -
Finally, Diana Nanyanzi is our new Junior Developer, and she is based in
Kampala, Uganda.

They will help us to improve not only our technical solutions, but our way of
working with more creativity, diversity and agility. You can say hello to them
on Slack!

Tech Working Group is reactivated

Yesterday we had our first meeting of the Tech Working Group 2.0. We are
prototyping a new format for the gatherings, including a retrospective of the
past month, input on the HOT_tech backlog prioritisation and a forum to share
and discuss interesting tech topics. You can check the meeting notes and attend
the next one on December 1st, 16:00 UTC.
