What information do you need?

The coroutines like interface is not as easy as you might think, but the
performance counter are definitely a nice project for somebody starting with
HPX.

You probably have seen the code (https://github.com/STEllAR-GROUP/hpx), our
docs (http://stellar-group.github.io/hpx/docs/html/), and perhaps our
publications (http://stellar-group.org/publications/). Let us know if you
need more information.

Cool, looking forward to this!

[hpx-users] Interest in Background Info

2017-03-31 Thread Sonia S Azad
Hi there!

My name's Sonia Azad, I'm a junior at LSU doing Mathematics & Computer Science.
I saw your blog post about the Google Summer of Code and am very interested. It
is actually my first time hearing about this program. I just transferred from
Carnegie Mellon, and would love to work on something in my hometown. This isn't
a proposal though since I would just like to learn more background first.

I've done a handful of hackathons and have always been interested and able to
learn new aspects of programming on my own, but I have never done anything like
this before. I want to stick to the easier topics such as the Coroutine-like
interface and the arithmetic performance counters. If you have any suggested
readings, that would be much appreciated. Otherwise, I can handle C++ and I
have a strong statistics and probability background.

I will definitely submit an official proposal before the deadline. If there is
anything else necessary during the application process, please let me know. I
look forward to hearing back from you!

Sincerely,

Sonia Azad
