We currently have an opportunity for a* Teradata* with a major direct client in Atlanta, GA locations*.* *Position :Teradata Developer* *Location: Atlanta, GA * *Duration : Long Term * *H1's Allowed* Duties: Provide consulting to Teradata customers in effective application design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of large scale Teradata Data Warehouse Environments. Minimum Requirements: The Consultant must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline or foreign equivalent, with a Master degree in computer science desirable plus one to three years of experience in computer technology or related fields. The consultant must have worked as a consultant or customer in a large Teradata database environment and must have current certification in Teradata Basics and Teradata SQL or have an equivalent level of experience in this role. In addition, the consultant will be expected to work with limited expert level support. The consultant may be required to relocate to the client location for a project with a long duration. Basic Qualifications: Experience in: • BTEQ, Teradata SQL, Stored Procedures, Macros and Triggers • Using Teradata utilities (FastExport, MultiLoad, FastLoad, Tpump, Teradata Parallel Transporter (TPT), Arcmain and QueryMan). • Limited TD query analysis, performance tuning and testing including use of DBQL analysis and other performance indicators • Understanding Teradata EXPLAIN plans, checking on how spool tables are built, confidence levels, usage of stats, different index usage • Query tools like SQL Assistant, TOAD and PLSQL Developer • Experience in: - SQL and BTEQ development skills as well as junior level DBA skills. • Writing UNIX shell and PERL scripts • All phases of SDLC like system analysis, application design, development, testing and implementation • Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and preparing test cases.
