[Hugin-devs] [Bug 1958027] Re: preference about final pano size is not respected
[Expired for Hugin because there has been no activity for 60 days.] ** Changed in: hugin Status: Incomplete => Expired -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Hugin Developers, which is subscribed to Hugin. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1958027 Title: preference about final pano size is not respected Status in Hugin: Expired Bug description: In preferences, assistant, an option has label "Downscale final pano", requiring a "percetual of max. width". The label suggests that only a downscale is performed, while it seems that an upscale is done. I set a 100% value, and with 4 images of about 5400x3700 I got a final pano of about 1x1, while I should have a got a pano with max size of 5400x5400 Besides that, the "Downscale final pano" doesn't belong, logically speaking, to "auto align" group, as the graphics suggest. Besides that, the label "percent of max. width" is confusing, because images have width and height, and then a "maximum width" doesn't make sense, I'd suggest "maximum size" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/hugin/+bug/1958027/+subscriptions ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~hugin-devs Post to : hugin-devs@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~hugin-devs More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
[Hugin-devs] [Bug 1958027] Re: preference about final pano size is not respected
The options refers to the width of the final pano, not of the individual images. And this setting is only used by the assistant. Therefore it is at the correct position. (You can change the output size on the stitcher tab - as written in the help.) The assistant calculates first the optimal width of the pano. Depending on the actual needed reprojections the canvas size can be bigger than the input images. If you think this is a bug please provide the pto file. Then the width is reduced by the setting. The standard value of 70 % results in a pano which should be sufficient for most cases (Because of the Bayer pattern higher values don't result in higher resolution of the final pano. It increases only the processing time.) The value refers to the width of pano - and not the size, which is completely different, e.g. reducing the width (and height) by 50 % results in the reduction of the image size to 25 %! ** Changed in: hugin Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Hugin Developers, which is subscribed to Hugin. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1958027 Title: preference about final pano size is not respected Status in Hugin: Incomplete Bug description: In preferences, assistant, an option has label "Downscale final pano", requiring a "percetual of max. width".
