I am here :-)

These multiplane projections (and this will make sense if you are
familiar with Hugin) are four rectilinear projections, where the field
of view, the yaw, and the output size of each piece has been carefully
selected to match both the walls of the room and each other.

A very very simplified version of this is when you extract the six
rectilinear views to make a cube: here the images are all 90° apart,
with a fov of 90°, and all have the same size.

It takes more mathematics to make it work in a rectangular room where
you are not in the center, but it can be done.
