Hi Tom,

I _think_ it will work. Hugin is GPLv2+, which means that it can link to
GPLv3+, because it will effectively become GPLv3+ in binary
form. Complicated ;)

Are you saying you are sure you can ignore...or hoping?
My guess is that they probably are needed.
Here, building for Fedora13, freeglut-devel is needed. Worth checking
to see if there is an equivalent for Ubuntu.

Cheers,

IIRC those are only presets. It does not really matter if the CP generators
are delivered with the Hugin installer or not, the presets are written into
the registry so that the user can select one of them. Of course, if the
associated CP detector is not present, it won't work.

Packages of Hugin have been circulating with or without included CP
generators. Most CP generators available are encumbered by patents in some
jurisdictions, making a distribution of an installer like yours (from your
description I infer that it includes panomatic) touchy. Make sure it's OK in
your jurisdiction - panomatic is protected by the SURF patent.

[hugin-ptx] hugin-2010.2.0_beta2 released

2010-08-30 Thread Bruno Postle
Hugin is a Panorama stitcher and more. A powerful software package
for creating and processing panoramic images.

A hugin-2010.2.0_beta2 (beta 2) tarball is available here:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/hugin/files/hugin-2010.2_beta/

This is a beta release for testing, i.e. The final release is likely to have
further bugfixes, help/manual and translation updates.

More information about this release can be found in the full ChangeLog below
and the unfinished release notes:
http://hugin.sourceforge.net/releases/2010.2.0/

Summary of changes since 2010.2.0_beta1:

* Updated Japanese, Italian translations.

* Manual/help updates.

* Fix for 'mosaic mode' angle-of-view calculation and photometric optimisation.

* Fix for slow .pto.mk file generation with large projects.

* Several improvements for autocrop: Better memory management, make autocrop
aware of crops and masks, works now also with bigger dimensions, do autocrop
to active images only.

* Faster mask calculation for bigger projects

* Ignore empty input fields in Images tab

* Fix crash when trying to draw control points on the fast preview that are
not in the projectable region.

libpano13-2.7.17 is required, note that this is still in beta itself.

See README, ChangeLog and INSTALL_cmake for more information.

2010-08-30 Thread Nicolas Pelletier
Thanks for the answer, ben away from the computer.

Yes, there is a data set for all the images here as pointed by Paul
http://www.flickr.com/photos/habanhero/sets/72157624575070647/

I've also
created a collection, so if there is some interest, I could post more as
time goes.

For the moment, I've not created a zip file to place somewhere, but this
could be an option.

Just a warning, the original files are HUGE. so getting all the original
size is qui a big download.

Don't hesitate with any questions, here or on flickr.

Hi, I've posted my Installer here:
http://thepanz.netsons.org/post/windows-instaler-for-hugin-2010
with the full NSIS script (script, license, plugins and bitmaps).
Feel free to try the installer or compile it yourself. In that case
you need the .7z archive from http://lemur.dreamhosters.com/hugin/ (I
re-compressed it with the "Ultra" compression with 7zip)

Waiting for your feedback!

I still can't reproduce the problem. Could you please send me some of
the remapped HDR images (the ones you can't open). It could help us to
find out whether the problem is present in nona (the remapped images
are broken) or hugin_hdrmerge (the remapped images are not broken but
the merged stacks are).

BTW: the problem in hugin_pure.exr was caused by vignetting.

I'm using Nullsoft NSIS framework: I choose it for its OpenSource

Ok, I'm going to read the code soon..
Right now I only add an option to fully remove the registry keys
during uninstall, for the CP generators I saw that a clean Hugin
install comes with Panomatic and other CP generators already set
(correct me if I'm wrong) so I think that I can leave the registry
untouched during CP install...
Waiting for your feedback and suggestions.. :)
