For a stable release I always build two bundles: Hugin and PTBatcherGui. For development builds I sometimes build PTBatcherGui as bundle in case something in the structure has changed or when changes to PTBatcherGui itself have been done. > > Things that need to be thought about: > > 1. Hugin_stitch_project fails on 10.5 only if it is started as a bundle inside a bundle. Hugin_stitch_project runs fine as stand alone program. PTBatcherGUI is currently a separate bundle, correct? But I fear, if you bundle PTBatcherGUI inside the Hugin bundle, the 10.5 users will get the same problem. So probably you would need to build 2 separate bundles (Hugin +PTBatcherGUI) and the user would have to install both of them. (But that's just a guess.) > Things that need to be thought about: > 1. Both are using the *same* queue. Only the interface is different wxWidgets GUI vs. command line interface. (Beside PTBatcherGUI has some more features than PTBatcher) If PTBatcherGUI is running PTBatcher will only add the project to the queue and return immediately. (Only if no instance of PTBatcherGUI is running, PTBatcher will process the current queue on the command line.) > 3. I know that some users use PTBatcher(Gui) to run on a different machine > from the one they do theirt Hugin Gui work on. How to handle that? This is currently not automatically handled. They have to save the project on the one machine and add it to PTBatcherGUI on the other machine by hand. There is only communication between Hugin and PTBatcherGUI on the *same* machine. [hugin-ptx] Re: 2011.0: To release or not to release, that's the question
Yes Harry. I downloaded and used Hugin.app20110528.dmg I got the clean test message window. Clicked OK, and Hugin did its thing correctly. Seems to work fine. I have not as yet heard back from Harry about if his zipped test file is the same one as is located on his download site listed as 2011.0-RC2. Do you possibly know the answer to that question? Have you tried both of those, and if not, which one have you tested as reported above? Thanks. [hugin-ptx] Re: 2011.0: To release or not to release, that's the question
Harry, This file works on 10.5.8 on a MacBook Pro. I ran the pto both direct from hugin and from the PTGUIbatch on two pto files. One was a single image with perspective rectification only. The other was a 270MP final stitch output. Both correctly directly from Hugin.
