Please elaborate. If I am not mistaken, the "cmap 3 4" line
had to do with bugs in existing fonts or an error in older versions
of the TrueType font specification? I am no authority on this issue,
so I don't know whether we should keep it or remove it.
James, what do you think? :-)

Cheers,

Anthony

[I18n]UTF-8 Compose map

2002-11-24 Thread David Monniaux
Hi,

This is a UTF-8 Compose map. It was generated automatically from the
official Unicode documentation; in addition, it contains some handwritten
rules (for symbols such as the Euro).

It covers the Latin alphabet (including eastern european languages and
Vietnamese), the Greek alphabet (including polytonic), the Cyrillic
alphabet (including some non-Russian letters, and some various
definitions.

Since this is a 300 Kb file, I prefer to send a URL:
http://www.di.ens.fr/~monniaux/download/Compose_autogen.2.utf-8

It is meant to replace

xc/nls/Compose/en_US.UTF-8

Eventually, el_GR.UTF-8 should be merged into it (I have to verify, but
there's only the handwritten rules for the Drachma symbol to add, the rest
should be autogenerated).

Yes.

The converse is also true: do not use a Unicode keysym if there is a
named keysym.

I believe this is wrong, and should be removed.
