Tony, I have been using the Energia IDE on my MacBook Pro for the Launchpad. As I understand it, it is an Arduino variant, free and open source: http://energia.nu/ I am not sure if it will run on the XO, but it is an option as I see it. Yama and Walter, Thanks. I was not as clear as I wanted to be. Arduino (or Energia, an alternative) would be fine. I was speaking about using mspdebug, which is purely command line based. Walter, I will play and then let you know about possible plug-ins. Turtle Art would be a much better solution for the kids. Thanks.
