[IAEP] FOSDEM'09 & Community Meetup

2009-01-06 Thread Christoph Derndorfer
Hi all,

plans are underway when it comes to representing OLPC / Sugar at
FOSDEM'09 (http://www.fosdem.org/2009/) taking place in Brussels
(Belgium) on the weekend of February 7...

Also the idea to have a community meetup in the Brussels on the day
before FOSDEM has been floated and it sounds like there's enough
interest to really make it happen.

I've started collecting some information on
http://sugarlabs.org/go/MarketingTeam/Events/FOSDEM_2009 - please add
your thoughts, comments and ideas there or discuss them on the list.

Thanks,
Christoph

Added myself and have proposed talks during the FOSDEM to the GNOME
and Fedora dev rooms.

To the people who plan to attend that extra day around FOSDEM, what
would you like to see discussed? Also, do people prefer talks,
workshops, round tables, ... ?

Thanks,

Tomeu

2009-01-09 Thread Christoph Derndorfer
Dear all,

OLPC Europe kindly agreed to allow us to use their facilities for the
community meetup! :-)

Please add your name to the list at
http://sugarlabs.org/go/MarketingTeam/Events/FOSDEM_2009 by January 31st
if you're planning to attend and (if you're using a nickname on the
SugarLabs wiki) send me your full name offlist since name badges are
required to get to the offices (it's in a secure facility).

Also, I will be booking my flight to Brussels today...

Looking forward to seeing you there.

Cheers,
Christoph
