 hal-hal yang berikut:

Tidak memohon maaf terlebih dahulu kepada kedua 
 orang tuanya
(jika masih ada); 
 * Tidak berma'afan terlebih dahulu antara
suami istri; 
 
 * Tidak berma'afan terlebih dahulu
dengan orang-orang 
 sekitarnya. 
 
 Maka
Rasulullah pun mengatakan Amiin sebanyak 3 kali. 
 Dapat kita
bayangkan, yang berdo'a adalah Malaikat dan 
 yang meng-amiinkan
adalah Rasullullah dan para 
 sahabat, dan dilakukan pada hari
Jum'at.

Secara singkat gambar disebelah kiri ini menunjukkan dimana tumpukan yang
belum terlepaskan di Selatan Bengkulu ini. Ini menunjukkan metode yang GPS
dengan aplikasigeostatistik yang dibuat oleh Pak Wahyu Triyoso Phd dari ITB
- Institut Teknologi Bandung, merupakan salah satu metode untuk
*mengantisipasi
gempa*. Sekali lagi mengantisipasi, bukan meramalkan. Karena kita masih
belum mampu meramalkan kapan dan dimana akan terjadinya secara akurat.

Pak Wahyu Triyoso dan juga Pak Dany pernah berbicara bahwa metode GPS cukup
ampuh dalam melihat daerah-daerah yang berpotensi gempa.

Gempa sebesar itu mesti banyak gempa susulannya. Itu pula yang menjadi alasan 
mengapa penduduk di Bengkulu dan sekitarnya tidak mau segera kembali ke 
rumahnya masing-masing karena masih dirasakan bumi bergoyang-goyang, lebih 
memilih tidur di bawah tenda di tempat agak tinggi.
   
  USGS juga telah mengoreksi datanya bahwa gempa Bengkulu in berkekuatan 8,2 Mw 
(ekivalen sih dengan 7.9 Mb dan 7.9 SR), dan berpusat di kedalaman 30 km. 
   
  BMG telah mencabut peringatan dininya pada pukul 20.10 WIB tadi atau dua jam 
setelah gempa utama terjadi (18.10 WIB). Memang dilaporkan tidak terjadi 
tsunami di pantai2 Bengkulu-Padang. Juga tak dilaporkan ada tsunami di wilayah2 
lain di Asia Tenggara, Asia Selatan, maupun Australia berdasarkan radio El 
Shinta,VOA, dan BBC dari pukul 20.30 sampai 23.00 WIB.
   
  Mengapa tak ada tsunami ? Kelihatannya ada satu syarat yang tidak dipenuhi, 
yaitu pola pematahan batuannya bukan thrusting, tetapi oblique strike-slip dan 
normal. Tetapi ini harus dicek lagi atas momen tensor solution (focal 
mechanism)-nya. Sayangnya, USGS belum menampilkan data momen tensor 
solution-nya, yang ada hanya historic momen tensor solution untuk gempa2 lama 
yang bervariasi dari thrusting, normal fault, dan strike-slip (thrust dominan).
   
  Saya coba menafsirkan first arrival P-wave-nya dari sekitar 50 seismogram 
yang ditampilkan USGS -kelihatannya tak menunjukkan dominasi thrusting, tetapi 
normal faulting. Kemudian, mengingat bahwa lokasi pusat gempa di splay Mentawai 
Fault yang merupakan pasangan Sumatra Fault dan sama2 dextral faulting, maka 
kemungkinan pematahan batuan dominan secara strike-slip faulting. Strike-slip 
faulting tak menyebabkan tsunami berarti.
   
   
  Secara tektonik, gempa Bengkulu ini terjadi di prisma akresi terangkat yang 
membentuk pulau2 Simeulue-Nias-Mentawai-Enggano, tepat pada splay Mentawai 
Fault - sesar yang memisahkan prisma akresi Sumatra dengan forearc basement 
Sumatra. Lokasi ini sejalur dengan lokasi gempa Aceh 26 Desember 2004. Mengapa 
gempa Aceh menimbukan tsunami sedangkan gempa Bengkulu ini tidak ? Jawabannya 
terletak pada pematahan batuan kedua gempa itu. Gempa Aceh terjadi di 
percabangan sesar  (horse tail) Mentawai Fault yang membentuk restraining bend, 
sehingga wilayah ini kompresif dan saat ditekan oleh konvergensi lempeng akan 
cenderung thrusting. Sementara itu, gempa Bengkulu ini benar2 terjadi di 
strike-slip fault Mentawai yang peluang2 terbentuknya thrusting tidak terlalu 
besar.

USGS telah mengeluarkan moment tensor solutionnya (global CMT moment tensor 
solution) yang menunjukkan pematahan gempa Bengkulu 12 September 2007 dominan 
thrusting dengan sedikit komponen strike-slip faulting pada strike 123 NE dan 
dip 79 degree. 
   
  Strike ini sejajar dengan Mentawai Fault. Dipnya yang hampir tegak 
menunjukkan bahwa thrusting ini mengakar kepada strike-slip master fault 
Mentawai yang memang tegak (karena strike slip). Ini semacam hubungan flower 
structuring. Bisa dikatakan bahwa komponen thrusting gempa ini merupakan minor 
surface manifestation dari Mentawai Fault. 
   
  Bisa diselidiki lebih lanjut apakah karena thrusting ini  merupakan komplemen 
strike-slip, maka tsunami tak terjadi. Kalau saja tak ada kait-mengaitnya 
dengan strike-slip fault yang lebih besar; maka sangat meyakinkan tsunami bisa 
terjadi

gempa tsb tidak terasa di bali. kebetulan pada waktu tsb, jam 19:15
s/d 19:30 wita, kami berada di lobi hotel westin (hotel dimana akan
dilaksanakan kegiatan joint convention bali 2007, 13 s/d 16 nopember
2007). tidak satu pun dari kami berempat yg merasakan gempa, demikian
juga dg para petugas hotel dan tamu2 lainnya.

yang belum terlepaskan di Selatan Bengkulu ini. Ini menunjukkan metode
yang GPS dengan aplikasigeostatistik yang dibuat oleh Pak Wahyu Triyoso
Phd dari ITB
- Institut Teknologi Bandung, merupakan salah satu metode untuk
*mengantisipasi gempa*. Sekali lagi mengantisipasi, bukan meramalkan.
Karena kita masih belum mampu meramalkan kapan dan dimana akan
terjadinya secara akurat.

Pak Wahyu Triyoso dan juga Pak Dany pernah berbicara bahwa metode GPS
cukup ampuh dalam melihat daerah-daerah yang berpotensi gempa.

Info yang barusan saya terima dari BMG menyatakan ada gempa besar lagi
7.7 SR pukul 06:49:04 WIB, lokasi 2.88 LS-100.43 BT (140 km baratdaya
Sungai Penuh, jambi), kedalaman 24 km. Potensi TSUNAMI.

Lokasi gempa2 susulan dominan sedang bergerak ke utara-timurlaut dengan
magnitude 5-6 SR; tetapi yang ini besar lagi, anomali..

Itu yang dirasakan Pak Leo dan Pak Edison, kebetulan saya tadi masih di
KRL.

Di KL terasa, yaitu pagi ini sekitar jam 7:50 - 7:55 waktu KL atau 6:50 -
6:55 WIB.

Di kantor saya di Lantai-31, Tower-2 Petronas Twin Towers, tirai
ber-goyang2, dinding2 berbunyi kretag-kreteg , kemudian saya bersama boss 
seorang bule yang udah dateng kekantor (employee lain belum pada dateng)
sempat turun ke Ground Floor masih pakai lift, setelah ngobrol2 sebentar di
depan Tower-2 , kita naik lagi  alhamdlulillah gak ada goyangan2 lagi
sampai sekarang ... mudah2an nggak akan ada lagi yang membahayakan kita
semua.

Ini detail gempanya, nanti kita analisis apakah ia aftershock yang kemarin atau 
bukan. Lokasinya mengikuti propagasi aftershocks (bergerak ke utara-timurlaut), 
tetapi magnitudenya membingungkan sebab aftershocks yang kemarin bermain di 
5.0-6.0 SR, ini tidak. Ukuran 7.5 Mw mungkin tidak berkorelasi dengan 7.7 SR, 
tetapi lebih kecil dari 7.5 SR.

Seberapa besar kemungkinan Gempa ini mengaktifkan Sesar Semangko??
Kebetulan keluarga saya tinggal di Sungai Penuh alias diatas sesar
Semangko..

Berdasarkan informasi dari Orangtua diSungai Penuh, getaran Gempa pagi
ini terasa keras sekali dan sampai saat ini masyarakat masih diluar
rumah...
Yang dirasakan di Sungai Penuh sejak gempa pertama kemarin sore,
Getarannya semakin membesar hingga terjadi gempa tadi pagi, karena
depocenternya yang semakin kearah Barat Laut...

Edo,

Gempa2 susulan kemarin terjadinya tak keluar dari Mentawai dextral fault
dan splaynya, lokasinya masih di prisma akresi yang terangkat. 

Gempa 140 km BD sungai Penuh ini sudah keluar dari Mentawai Fault dan
terjadi di lempeng Sumatra (overriding plate), mendekati Pegunungan
Barisan, juga Semangko Fault. Jarak ke Semangko Fault dari episentrum 50
km. Segmen Sesar Semangko di sekitar episentrum, terutama dari
Muaralabuh-Danau Kerinci-Tambangsawah sepanjang hampir 200 km harus
diwaspadai akan direaktivasi gempa ini sebab reaktivasi sesar Semangko
suka terjadi per segmen seperti pernah dibuktikan oleh metode fraktal. 

Mengantisipasi kemungkinan terburuk, lebih baik bersiap2 saja.

Kebetulan keluarga saya tinggal di Sungai Penuh alias diatas sesar
Semangko..

Berdasarkan informasi dari Orangtua diSungai Penuh, getaran Gempa pagi
ini terasa keras sekali dan sampai saat ini masyarakat masih diluar
rumah...
Yang dirasakan di Sungai Penuh sejak gempa pertama kemarin sore,
Getarannya semakin membesar hingga terjadi gempa tadi pagi, karena
depocenternya yang semakin kearah Barat Laut...

Sahabat se-profesi,

Rentetan gempa yang terjadi akhir2 ini, sempat menjadi
perhatian terhadap kemungkinan tsunami terhadap daerah
yang sempat terlanda tsunami akhir 2004.

Kami yang berada jauh dari Indonesia tetap memonitor
gempa dan dampaknya bagi masyarakat Indonesia, dari
internet, TV dan media lainnya. Kebetulan kota
Bengkulu dan Sungai Penuh, Jambi dulu sempat menjadi
tempat tinggal keluarga saya. 

Semoga suasananya membaik terutama sekarang sudah
masuk bulan suci Ramadhan. Kemudian perhatian
pemerintah dan seluruh lapisan masyarakat harus
tercurah untuk segera membantu dan merehabilitasi
dampaknya tanpa maksud tertentu dan tidak adanya

 7.7 SR pukul 06:49:04 WIB, lokasi 2.88 LS-100.43 BT

 Sungai Penuh, jambi), kedalaman 24 km. Potensi
 TSUNAMI.
 
 Lokasi gempa2 susulan dominan sedang bergerak ke
 utara-timurlaut dengan
 magnitude 5-6 SR; tetapi yang ini besar lagi,
 anomali..
 
 Itu yang dirasakan Pak Leo dan Pak Edison, kebetulan
 saya tadi masih di

Pukul 10:35:26 WIB sejam yang lalu terjadi lagi gempa kuat 7.1 Mw di lepas 
pantai baratdaya Pulau Sipora, dalam gugusan Kepulauan Mentawai. Kelihatannya 
yang ini merupakan aftershock gempa tadi pagi di 140 km BD Sungaipenuh. 

Melihat sebaran gempa utama dan gempa susulan, kelihatannya ada dua gempa 
utama, yaitu : (1) gempa utama Bengkulu 12 September 2007 (8.4 Mw) pukul 18.10 
WIB dengan aftershocks sedang bergerak ke utara lalu ke utara baratlaut, 
kekuatan 5-6 Mw/SR, dan (2) gempa Sungaipenuh 13 September 2007 (7.8 Mw) pukul 
06.49 WIB dengan aftershock menjauhi lagi Pulau Sumatra bergerak ke BL.

Semua gempa ini dangkal, di laut, dan bermagnitude rata2 di atas 6.0 SR, dan 
berdasarkan historic moment tensor solution-nya didominasi thrust. Maka, 
semuanya berpotensi tsunami. Penduduk sepanjang pantai barat Sumatra dari 
Bengkulu sampai Sibolga sebaiknya dihimbau untuk waspada sejak hari ini sampai 
beberapa hari ke depan.

 ada gempa besar lagi
 7.7 SR pukul 06:49:04 WIB, lokasi 2.88 LS-100.43 BT

 Sungai Penuh, jambi), kedalaman 24 km. Potensi
 TSUNAMI.
 
 Lokasi gempa2 susulan dominan sedang bergerak ke
 utara-timurlaut dengan
 magnitude 5-6 SR; tetapi yang ini besar lagi,
 anomali..
 
 Itu yang dirasakan Pak Leo dan Pak Edison, kebetulan
 saya tadi masih di
