Re: Printer Model 4245 Info Request

Hi Rick,
Yes, the D/R vendor's hardware list says it is a 4245-020. We are
looking for specs on the device for compatibility to our in-house 6400
printer.

Are you completely certain that it's not a 4245-2? Misprints can
happen..

JES2 Question: Which command to change all output class=1 to class=2?

2007-07-03 Thread McKnight, Lee
We try to keep certain JES output classes on our spool for from 1 to 5
days and keep it clean using daily auto-commands to delete all output
over 5 days old. But the console operators delete one of the output
classes throughout the day. Is there a JES command to change all output
class Z, for instance, to class J? We have been unable to find such a
command in the JES commands manual. Maybe we overlooked such a command.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Lee,
I believe this command will do what you want.

$TO JOB(*),/Q=Z,Q=J

Re: Time Change at IPL

We IPL once per month, so in the Spring and Fall we do the monthly IPL
at time change, and use IEASYS CLOCk=DT/CT for Daylight Time/Central
Time to set the TIMEZONE offset.

Am interested in knowing if most people still IPL for time change -
spring and fall - and if anyone does not, how they handle this.

Thanks, Tom

Hi,

I'm at a DR test right now and one of the operators showed me this
command in SDSF. You hit SHIFT and PF7 and an ampersand appears on the
command you type in a time interval (in seconds) and a message appears
on the command: AUTO UPDATE (with the time interval you selected)
. This allows you to see a job transition through it's steps without
having to hit enter. The operator told me he's used this in other shops.
What is this ? Where is this ?

TIA
