We use HSM's ARCMVEXT exit to kick of defrags on our SMS volumes and I've always used the default value which in my ADRDSSU sysin member is just DEFRAG with no options. I was curious about the consolidate option. Would it be safe for me to stick this option in?? Are there any gotchas like performance issues (longer defrag times) etc. that others have run into? Thanks for your help.
