HSM tape daily backup volumes
Hi folks Is there some sort of limit or restriction on the number of volumes that can be in a daily tape set? I just started getting ARC0702I BACKUP OF VOLUME vv TERMINATED, NO DAILY ARC0702I (CONT.) BACKUP VOLUME AVAILABLE today. I don't pre-define tape backup volumes, I just let it keep picking scratch volumes.. Or so I thought.. Today is day 5 in my cycle. LIST TTOC shows hundreds of tape volumes for all the days, including today. But QUERY BACKUP(DAILY) says there aren't any for today. ARC0271I BACKUP CYCLE LENGTH=07 DAY(S), CYCLE=YYY, ARC0271I (CONT.) TODAY IS DAY=05, VOLUME LIMIT/DAY=0005, AVAILABLE ARC0271I (CONT.) BACKUP VOLUMES=00046, CYCLE START DATE=01/01/01 This is OS/390 2.9 Very puzzling. Any ideas what's happened and what I can do about it?
