Seems a few Technology Architects are popping up in unexpected places.
Someone employed by Redmont aware of z/OS (relatively) new features ...
m, now where might I have heard the name Jon Nolting before ???.

Might have known a thing or two about Macrocode methinks.

2007-12-05 Thread Jon Nolting
Have you tried this Redbook (draft), chapter 15 for some basic examples?

This Redbook describes the functional enhancements to z/OS for Version 1
Release 9 (z/OS V1R9). These enhancements that are described are designed to
help installations install, tailor, migrate, and configure z/OS V1R9.

I didn't find the archives much of a help.

There are a lot of hits on both "System REXX" and "SYSREXX"
but you have to dig a lot to find mention of the doc. If there is
any official doc. I found a couple of fairly brief descriptions, but
the only thing I found going into any depth was the the SHARE
presentation
http://shareew.prod.web.sba.com/client_files/callpapers/attach/SHARE_
in_San_Diego/S2814RN223932.pdf
(Mind the wrap.)

That presentation is for z/OS 1.9. I don't see that it says anything
about differences between the 1.9 version and the downloadable
1.8 version. I hope that means they are the same.

the is the documentation so that I can mess with it? I just
