Presentation to Students
Esteemed list, I have a non technical request for information. I have been asked to help create a 10 – 15 minute presentation for a talk to a group of IT students in the UK. I have some thoughts on what I would say given the brief below, but was wondering what others might cover: I would very much like someone representing GSE to present at the event about the GSE view of System z in the IT industry, importance of System z and large systems thinking. Has anyone ever seen a session like this before? Would you be willing to shed any thoughts, comments or even copies of slides we could crib for such a session? Re: Presentation to Students
IBM have a series of Powerpoint slides. I used this material while teaching via the Academic Initiative. I have the slides but I would suggest you ask IBM academic initiative folks for copies. The first slide show is Titled: Introduction to the new mainframe Large-Scale Commercial computing. There are eight in the series: Capacity, Scalability, Integrity and security, Availability, etc. You can fit most of this into a 15 minute presentation.
