Yes. That's exactly what we do in the (E)JES Workstation Component 
broker/server interface.

Multiple tasks within one address space or multiple address spaces can 
share a single IP/port on the server side. Of course, the clients use a 
different IP/port for each conversation they start. That's what keeps 
it all straight...
