That is the same method that some sculptors use.  For example, to carve a 
squirrel out of a tree stump you remove all parts of the stump that don't 
look like the squirrel.  When you have finished that task, you have your 
sculpted squirrel.  It is quite remarkable to watch.  
 
It is, however, a less than efficient method of programming.

No, you were simply eliminating a method that didn't work. Thomas Edison
