I ran a test on the application that I was concerned with, once I found a time when no one was online, and it does default to MSG10 so I'm good to go.

If you are asking about Telnet (TN3270/E) terminals then that in turn depends on the Telnet configuration such as AUTOLOGON. Most likely no MSG10 but it may be something that you can control for Telnet (lots of options and there are also some user exits in play). Not easy to determine without digging deep and could well be different by terminal.
