Re: DE entry on Load Link XCTL and ATTACH
The directory entry (DE) starts with a name. If this is an alias, it would generally also elsewhere in the DE have the name of the "major". Those are the only names within a DE. I don't know what is the "first name". Re: DE entry on Load Link XCTL and ATTACH
DE is directory entry, not list. The system uses the entire entry, subject to APF. -- Shmuel (Seymour J.) Re: DE entry on Load Link XCTL and ATTACH
What other name? Did you even open the manual "When DE, specifies the address of the name field in a 62-byte list entry for the entry name that was constructed using the BLDL macro" On Mon, 1 Feb 2021 18:15:26 -0500 Joseph Reichman wrote: :>When you have DE entry on any of these macros I assume the system just :>checks the first name ? -- Binyamin Dissen http://www.dissensoftware.com Director, Dissen Software, Bar & Grill - Israel Should you use the mailblocks package and expect a response from me, you should preauthorize the dissensoftware.com domain. When you have DE entry on any of these macros I assume the system just checks the first name ? thanks -- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to lists...@listserv.ua.edu with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN
